As 2016 draws to a close, we want to sincerely thank Mercury Alliance Members for a successful year! From our kickoff meeting at MoDOT Central Headquarters on January 27th, through end of the calendar year, it's been an eventful time for the Mercury Alliance.

2016 Highlights

Advocacy & Education:

Over the past 11 months, we have conducted presentations on the Mercury Alliance to the following organizations:
* Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association Board of Directors Annual Meeting
* Missouri Economic Development Council Winter Meeting
* WTS - Kansas City Annual Business Meeting
* Missouri/Kansas Chapter ACPA Annual Board Meeting
* Transportation Engineers Association of Missouri Conference
* Missouri Highways & Transportation Commission
* St. Louis Regional Chamber Transportation & Infrastructure Committee
* Missouri Limestone Producers Association Annual Meeting
* Missouri Society of Professional Engineers Fall PDH Days
* Northland Regional Chamber Legislative & Planning/Development Committees

In addition, we testified in both House and Senate transportation committees on SB 623 and meet regularly with MoDOT leadership.

We created a website (www.mercuryalliance.org) to serve as a communications and publicity tool for the Alliance.

Recruitment:

Since January, we have conducted more than 85 recruiting visits/phone calls including trips to the following regions:
* Cape Girardeau
* Columbia
* Jefferson City
* Joplin
* Kansas City
* Springfield
* St. Joseph
* St. Louis

Community of Interest Groups:

The first Community of Interest Group meetings were held on July 12th at the AGC of Missouri office in Jefferson City. In the five months since the first meetings, Community of Interest Groups have engaged in the following activities:

Economic Development
